About This Site
This site is a quote-request service connecting homeowners in the La Crosse–Onalaska, Wisconsin area with providers of the work listed on all services: chimney sweep and cleaning, chimney inspection, creosote removal, chimney cap and crown repair, and dryer vent cleaning. It does not itself climb onto a roof, sweep a flue, or clean a duct — a request submitted through this site is passed along to a local provider to quote.
How a quote request works
A request can be made by calling 608-480-6621, or by using the form on the request a quote page. The form asks what kind of work is needed and, for chimney-related jobs, what fuel the appliance burns — wood, gas, pellet, oil, or not sure. What's submitted is used to put together a quote for the work described.
Areas covered
This site covers five towns in the La Crosse, Wisconsin area. The service areas page lists them, with what public Census data says about each town's housing stock.
Certification and licensing, stated plainly
Wisconsin does not license or certify chimney sweeps. Wis. Admin. Code SPS 305.003(27) — the section defining "HVAC equipment" for the state's contractor-licensing chapter — specifically excludes "masonry fireplaces and chimneys" and "factory-built fireplaces and venting systems" from that definition, and Chapter SPS 305 sets no separate category for chimney sweeping (Wis. Admin. Code SPS 305.003(27), retrieved September 2026).
CSIA (the Chimney Safety Institute of America) and NCSG (the National Chimney Sweep Guild) certification exist as voluntary industry credentials that a chimney sweep can choose to earn on their own — neither is required by Wisconsin law (CSIA, Homeowner Resources, retrieved September 2026; NCSG Homeowner Hub, retrieved September 2026). Stating that these credentials exist and are optional is not the same as stating that any provider connected with this site holds one — this site makes no such claim.
What this page does not say
This page does not say that this site or any provider it refers work to is licensed, registered, certified, or insured, or how long anyone has been doing this kind of work. It does not say what a quote will cost, or that any particular provider will respond to a request within a given time. It states only what the sources above say, and how to ask for a quote.
